Growing up on the North Coast of Zululand I did a lot of cross country horse back riding and inevitably had a number falls, resulting in chronic headaches and back pain. My parents had the sense to take me to the local Chiropractor to have everything put ‘back into place’. The instant relief I got made me realise that this is how I wanted to help people.

Soon after qualifying from Chiropractic College in Durban, my wife and I moved over to the UK to do a six month working holiday. My Scottish blood drew us up to Scotland and there we spent nine glorious years, me working in the Aberdeen Chiropractic Clinic and Nicola raising our three boys.

It was here that my passion for the art of Chiropractic really developed and I began studying courses in Applied Kinesiology, nutrition, Chiropractic paediatrics and Exercise rehabilitation.

Chiropractic used to be classified as ‘alternative health care’ but through time progressed to ‘complimentary health care’. Now with the advances in research and training, chiropractic has become the third largest primary health care profession in the world, specialising in the examination, diagnosis and management of neuromusculoskeletal (nerve-muscle-skeleton) conditions.

Our body has the innate ability to heal itself. Unfortunately, through physical trauma, emotional strains, poor nutrition and environmental toxins, our bodies are under continual stress. This stress eventually causes the body’s natural healing to slow down and sometimes come to a grinding halt. Chiropractic has the unique ability to restore proper function, both mechanically and physiologically and together with lifestyle changes, nutritional counselling and exercise therapy we can allow the body to start healing itself naturally.

We all have the potential to be healthy. I feel that Chiropractic is the natural way to good health. Take control over your wellbeing and ‘Get Back To Health’

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.’ (3John1:2)

I was born and raised in Ladysmith, a little town sheltered by the Mbulwana hills.

My interest in Chiropractic stemmed in my grade 11 year after a motor vehicle accident. After a series of unsuccessful treatments in the various fields of Health Science it was only Chiropractic that helped me. From then onwards in my mum's words 'there was no stopping me.' Soon after my healing I had the opportunity to interview many Chiropractors in the surrounding areas and students in different years of the course.

After matriculating there was no surprise that I pursued with Chiropractic studies at the Durban University of Technology and obtained my Master's degree in 2016. I went on to practice in my hometown for a year.

In 2017 I got married and relocated to Shelly Beach where I've been practicing under the mentorship and guidance of Dr Duane Wood. Within these budding 5 years of private practice my passion for Chiropractic healing streamlined into family-based treatment specifically for chronic pain/stiffness, headaches and injuries.

I strongly believe that the body has an inner ability to heal itself and Chiropractic offers an equally mutual treatment relieving the body of discomfort to enhance the healing process.
